PaperWorks: A Collage Workshop
Collage artist Taryn Chase Jackson hosted a cut-and-paste meet-up on May 9, 2026, from 10AM-Noon CDT to mark the annual, international celebration known as World Collage Day! This program launched opening day for the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art's exhibition featuring work by Birmingham, Alabama, art co-operative, PaperWorkers Local.

Materials (paper, magazines, scissors, and glue sticks) were provided, but participants were encouraged to bring their own—including vintage books, photographs, ticket stubs and other ephemera.

Taryn helped folks get started, provided tips, and had examples on hand for inspiration. This event was open to the public and is an annual event. Stay tuned for details for May 2027.
